Welcome to Friends for Good's Fall Community 2026
SCROLL DOWN TO REGISTER!
There is something sacred about being in the same room, sharing the same space, and looking each other in the eye - and this fall, we're building a whole season around it. From Cooking! to Arts & Crafts, from The (dinner) Gatherings to Hiking & Service, every offering this season is a chance to slow down, show up, and belong. This is a space where spirituality belongs to everyone, whether you're rooted in a specific faith tradition or find your "church" in nature and community. Across every program, you'll see our values come alive - Open Spirituality in who's welcome, Fierce Kindness in how we treat each other, Intentional Space in how we design our time together, and Co-Creation in the fact that this community is built by all of us, parents, and kids alike. Looking for your people? You just found them. All are welcome, and no experience is required - just come as you are.
Each session will feature time where all ages will be together, working and learning as well as time where we will split off into different groups according to age.
Questions can be sent to Adam Hayden at 812-430-4464 or adam@k4p.org.
Cooking!
August 16, Sept 13, 20 & 27
There's a reason people gather in kitchens - something opens up when we're chopping, stirring, and tasting side by side. In this hands-on cooking series, kids and adults work as true partners, learning recipes and kitchen skills while building the kind of trust that only comes from creating something together. This is Co-Creation in action: parents and kids all bringing their own flavor to the table (literally). Every dish becomes a small act of care - for our bodies, for each other, and for the community we're feeding.
Arts & Crafts
Oct 4, 11, 18 & 25
Give a room full of curious hands some art supplies and watch what happens. Our Arts & Crafts sessions are an Intentional Space where creativity isn't judged, it's just welcomed. Every project is a chance to wonder, experiment, and see the world a little differently. Art is a sacred language we all share no matter if we think we are "creative" or "artistic."
The (dinner) Gathering
Aug 28, Sept 25, Oct 30 & Dec 4
At the heart of Friends for Good is a simple belief: something sacred happens when we share a meal, look each other in the eye, and just be present together. The Gathering is exactly that - a relaxed evening around the table for the whole community, no agenda except connection. This is Open Spirituality lived out plainly: whatever brought you here, whatever you believe or don't, there's a seat for you. Our facilitators show up not as instructors but as neighbors and friends, building the kind of relationships that make this community feel like family.
Hiking
Oct 3
Nothing clears the mind, or opens a good conversation, quite like a trail. Our hiking day invites families out into nature to move, breathe, and notice the world together, practicing Caretaking as we learn to see ourselves as stewards of the earth rather than visitors passing through it. It's also a quiet exercise in Self-Reliance, as kids build confidence navigating the outdoors alongside trusted parents and friends.
Service Project
Nov 8
We believe caring for the earth and caring for each other are the same act. Our fall service project puts that belief into practice, rolling up sleeves as a full community, parents, kids, and leaders together, to leave something better than we found it. It's Caretaking made tangible, and a hands-on lesson in Critical Curiosity: noticing a need, asking why it exists, and doing something real about it. More details on that coming soon!
