Our Story

Years ago, way back in 20?? Judy Chamberlain along with her husband Bill went on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. During that trip they were introduced to an initiative called 'Kids4Peace.' Judy was inspired to learn how Muslim, Jewish, and Christian families came together in spite of their differences. The families saw unity where there was division. They saw snacks and games and eventually friendships. They created the Kids4Peace program to make their vision a reality.

Judy took in that vision and that work. She breathed it and brought it back to Cincinnati. For several years Judy and a few new friends representing the same three faith traditions worked on getting a Kids4Peace chapter set up in Cincinnati. It wasn't easy. But, they did it and in 2016 Cincinnati launched its first annual Interfaith Camp. That camp has been happening every since. It has grown to not just focus on Islam, Christianity, and Judaism, but also many more faith traditions and no traditions at all. Today, Friends for Good welcomes all people to the table from families who are very observant to their faith tradition to families who have never practiced one and all in between.
