THE MISSION
The Friends for Good mission is to support youth and their families to create more peaceful communities one friendship at a time.
In the face of violence, hatred and injustice, we connect youth and families from across religious and social divides and give them tools to be agents of change. Our vision is to create a local movement of peaceful people, peace leaders, and activists who transform divided relationships and not yet relationships into friendships.
Furthermore, we are dedicated to building positive, working relationships with a broad range of partners, while exploring the commonalities of our differing religions and cultures. We strive to foster the understanding, philosophical acceptance, and respect needed to create a culture of peace and positive change.
INTERFAITH HARMONY CAMP
Back in 2016 Friends for Good (formally Kids4Peace) hosted its first ever Interfaith Day Camp. Since that joyful week youth have been learning about different faith traditions every summer. They visit various houses of worship, engage in dialogue around a host of relevant topics, and learn ways they can create peace! Meets daily 9am-5pm for one week toward the end of July / beginning of August. Registration for 2025 coming soon:)
FRIENDS FOR GOOD AT GRACE
FRIENDS FOR GOOD AT THE GARAGE
This is a multi-partnered gathering with involvement from the Festival of Faiths, EquaSion, ish, The Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio, and more. We come together to provide a unique youth gathering where students in grades 6-12 can be friends from varied backgrounds. The program is all about food, friends, and fun with a dash of leadership and service mixed throughout. We typically meet on Sundays from 2:30-4pm in Northside. To learn more and register click here.
