FRIENDS FOR GOOD

THE MISSION

The Friends for Good mission is to support youth and their families to create more peaceful communities one friendship at a time.

In the face of violence, hatred and injustice, we connect youth and families from across religious and social divides and give them tools to be agents of change. Our vision is to create a local movement of peaceful people, peace leaders, and activists who transform divided relationships and not yet relationships into friendships.

Furthermore, we are dedicated to building positive, working relationships with a broad range of partners, while exploring the commonalities of our differing religions and cultures. We strive to foster the understanding, philosophical acceptance, and respect needed to create a culture of peace and positive change.

INTERFAITH HARMONY CAMP

In the summer of 2016 we hosted our first ever Interfaith Day Camp. Since that joyful week kids have been learning about different faith traditions every summer. They visit various houses of worship, engage in dialogue around a host of relevant topics, and learn ways they can create peace! Meets daily 9am-5pm for one week toward the end of July / beginning of August.

ELEMENTARY PROGRAMS
TEEN PROGRAMS

Teens and 'almost teens' from diverse backgrounds gather throughout the year to build community. Our program focuses on food, friendship, and fun, with elements of leadership development and service integrated throughout. Teen gatherings typically take place on select Sundays throughout the school year.

DONATE TO FRIENDS FOR GOOD

Do you believe in our mission? Would you like to support our work? Make a tax-deductible donation today! Friends for Good is part of the Child Wellness Fund.

The elementary program is our wiggliest program to date. Children approximately 5 to 9 years old come together to play games, create art projects, learn new things, and participate in service activities. Both children and their parents also explore topics like self-awareness and peace. Meets throughout the school year.
